The Drawing Mind Lab is a space to encourage everyone to DRAW. It is for those who love to draw and for those who may be afraid to draw; The Drawing Lab engages everyone—young and old, experienced artists and beginners—in the drawing process.
It lets visitors get messy, delve into the unknown, challenge themselves with materials and ideas, and have fun! Drawing is thinking in a visual form, and drawing can help us to see better. It can also help us to think in more varied ways.
Based on years of teaching and drawing experience, The Drawing Lab is Putnoi’s innovative approach for getting people to feel comfortable with the drawing process. The Drawing Lab is set up in stations that provide new and unexpected ways to approach drawing, such as experimentation with mark making, training the eye to observe the world, and awakening the senses through drawing. Visitors to the Drawing Lab add drawings to the Community Drawing Wall so that an ever- changing drawing installation is co- created.
